LONEMAN TYPE STUDIO
END USER LICENSE AGREEMENT
Version 1.0 — Effective 1 September 2026
------------------------------------------------------------------------
This Agreement is between Loneman Type Studio ("the Foundry") and the
person or organization named as Licensee in the accompanying license
document ("you"). By downloading, installing, or using the Font Software,
you accept these terms.
"Font Software" means the font files delivered to you, in every format
supplied, together with any accompanying data and documentation.
1. WHAT YOU ARE BUYING
1.1 The Foundry grants you a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive,
non-transferable license to use the Font Software, at the tier you
purchased, for the uses described in Section 3.
1.2 You are licensing the right to use the Font Software. You are not
buying the Font Software itself. The Foundry retains all copyright
and all other rights in it.
1.3 This license does not expire, does not renew, and carries no
recurring fee.
2. YOUR TIER
2.1 Price is determined solely by the number of people in your
organization at the time of purchase, counting employees,
contractors, and principals:
Solo 1 to 3 people 1x
Studio 4 to 25 people 2x
Company 26 to 150 people 4x
Brand 151 to 1,000 people 12x
Enterprise more than 1,000 people by separate agreement
2.2 Your tier is self-reported. The Foundry does not audit it and asks
only that you report it honestly.
2.3 YOUR LICENSE DOES NOT RE-TIER. If your organization grows after
purchase, the Font Software you already licensed remains fully
licensed at the tier you bought. You purchase at your current size
only when you license something new.
2.4 If you wish to move an existing license to a higher tier, you pay
the difference between the two tiers at current prices. What you
already paid is credited in full.
2.5 The license belongs to the organization named as Licensee, not to
the individual who paid. If you are a designer licensing on behalf
of a client, the client is the Licensee and the client's size sets
the tier.
3. WHAT THE LICENSE COVERS
Within your organization, and at every tier, you may:
3.1 Install and use the Font Software on any number of computers and
devices owned or controlled by the Licensee.
3.2 Use it to create any design, in any medium, including print,
packaging, signage, environmental graphics, vehicle livery,
apparel, editorial, advertising, and film or video.
3.3 Serve it as a self-hosted webfont on any number of domains
controlled by the Licensee, with no limit on page views, visitors,
or bandwidth, provided the files are served from the Licensee's own
infrastructure and not from a public or third-party font service.
3.4 Use it in a logo, wordmark, or other mark of identity, and register
the resulting artwork as a trademark. The trademark you obtain
covers your artwork; it does not extend to the Font Software or to
any letterform not used in that artwork.
3.5 Use it on merchandise and products offered for sale, provided the
Font Software itself is not the product and is not distributed in
font format.
3.6 Convert letterforms to outlines and modify the resulting vectors
freely.
3.7 Embed it in PDFs and similar documents in a preview-and-print
capacity, and distribute those documents.
3.8 Use it in social media, broadcast, and streaming content.
3.9 Permit contractors, agencies, and freelancers to install and use
the Font Software solely to produce work for the Licensee. They must
remove their copies when that work concludes, and they acquire no
license of their own.
4. WHAT REQUIRES A SEPARATE LICENSE
The following are not covered. Each is available by arrangement with the
Foundry — write to hello@lonemantype.com.
4.1 Embedding the Font Software in an application, game, operating
system, electronic device, or any other product distributed to third
parties, where the font file itself is included in what you ship.
4.2 Including the Font Software in a template, theme, design kit, or
other product made available to third parties, whether sold or free.
4.3 Rendering text with the Font Software on a server as part of a
service offered to third parties, including personalization engines,
image generators, and print-on-demand platforms.
4.4 Any use by an organization of more than 1,000 people.
5. WHAT YOU MAY NOT DO
5.1 You may not sell, rent, sublicense, lend, give away, or otherwise
distribute the Font Software, in any format, to anyone outside the
Licensee's organization, except as Section 3.9 allows.
5.2 You may not make the Font Software available on a public server,
file-sharing service, or repository, or embed it in a web page in a
way that allows it to be downloaded as a usable font file.
5.3 You may not modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or convert the Font
Software in order to produce a new typeface or font file, whether for
your own use or for distribution. Section 3.6 permits vector editing
of outlined artwork; it does not permit generating fonts.
5.4 You may not remove or alter any copyright notice, trademark, or
identifying data contained in the Font Software.
5.5 You may not use the Font Software, its outlines, its metrics, or
text rendered in it as training data for any machine learning or
generative model, nor supply it to any third party for that purpose.
6. DELIVERY, AND CHANGES TO THE CATALOG
6.1 The Font Software is delivered as a download. Because it is a
digital good delivered immediately and cannot be returned, sales
are generally final. The Foundry will correct or refund an order
where a file is defective, you were charged twice, or, within 14
days of purchase and before the Font Software has been used in
published work, you licensed the wrong family, style or tier, in
which case the order is first exchanged where possible. The
current refund terms are at lonemantype.com/refunds. When an order
is refunded, its license ends, and you must stop using the Font
Software from that order and delete every copy.
6.2 The Foundry may update the Font Software. Updates to a family you
have licensed are provided at no charge when they are made
available.
6.3 The All Access license covers every family in the Foundry's
catalog as of the date of purchase. Families released after that
date are not included and are licensed separately.
6.4 You are responsible for keeping your own copies of the files you
license. The Foundry will make reasonable efforts to keep downloads
available but does not guarantee indefinite hosting.
7. IF THE AGREEMENT ENDS
7.1 This license terminates automatically if you materially breach it
and do not correct the breach within 30 days of written notice.
7.2 On termination you must stop using the Font Software and destroy all
copies. Work already produced and published before termination may
remain in use.
8. WARRANTY AND LIABILITY
8.1 The Font Software is provided "as is". The Foundry warrants that it
has the right to license it, and makes no other warranty, express or
implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a
particular purpose.
8.2 The Foundry's total liability under this Agreement is limited to the
amount you paid for the license. The Foundry is not liable for
indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost
profits, even if advised of their possibility.
9. GENERAL
9.1 This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Colorado,
United States, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
9.2 This Agreement, together with the license document accompanying your
purchase, is the entire agreement between you and the Foundry
regarding the Font Software.
9.3 If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
9.4 The Foundry may revise this Agreement for future purchases. Revisions
do not alter the terms of licenses already granted.
